Description:This report describes the plan and operation of the Hispanic Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (HHANES). The population for this study consisted of Mexican-Americans living in the five Southwestern States, Cuban-Americans living in Dade County, Florida, and Puerto Ricans living in portions of the States of New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Persons 6 months-74 years of age were included in the study.
