Description:This report presents the development, plan, and operation of two follow-back surveys of the 2011-2012 National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH): the National
Survey of Children in Nonparental Care (NSCNC) and the National Survey of the Diagnosis and Treatment of ADHD and Tourette Syndrome (NSDATA). Both surveys were modules of the State and Local Area Integrated Telephone Survey conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics. NSCNC was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation with supplemental funding from the Annie E. Casey Foundation. NSDATA was sponsored by the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities.
