Description:Statistics obtained from a national probability sample of office-based physicians are presented on the utilization of ambulatory care by women 15 years and over. Visits are described in terms of patient age, sex, and race, patient condition, and management of the patients’ problems. Selected comparisons are made with similar data on visits made by men. Family planning visits by women aged 15-44 years are described according to patient characteristics, reason for visit, and services rendered.
